PostSubject: How to add PC games to EO   Thu Dec 13, 2012 5:24 am

I was wondering how to add PC games to EO.

I was making a section for smaller PC games like [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] & [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] but every time I add a new game it makes me choose a rom file and an emulator. Since these games don't require an emulator is it possible to specify that somewhere so I don't have to add an emulator?

under play menu there is icone labeled"enable emulator" click on it so it 'll no more surrounded by blue rectangle"deactivated" , there is no need to add emulator, simply dellete any one if it been already assigned, now right click inside rom list and choose add rom "not rom scan",browse for exe file of the game=>ok,now the game should appear

I tried a method for freeware pc games:
1. create a section named PC Games for exemple, click right and choose properties, specify lnk as extension
2. create a folder where you put your game links, and specify your roms location to this folder
3. when you add emulator, specify your games .exe
4. when you want to launch a game (Rockman 7 Famicom for exemple), select first your "emulator" (Rockman 7 Famicom.exe) and then double click on your "rom" (Rockman 7 Famicom.lnk)
Tell me if it works for you! Smile

Edit: Croser has given a solution, he's faster than me! ;-)

Thank you both for you're assistance. I used Don Django method at first which worked but requires a lot of emulator files to be listed. Croser's way works as well but if I'm not mistaken I'll have to change options every time I switch to a console needing an emulator.

Croser, it looks like I'll have to Enable / Disable the emulators option everytime I switch from PC games to console games that require an emulator. Is there a way to make EO remember that settings per console or will it have to be Enable / Disable everytime?

Thanks again for your help!

np man ,glad I can help,we'll make both "enable emulator" and "enable command line to be sent..." to be saved per console, there is still some other thing to make it saved for each console, especially the tab manager
Don Django, your method will work great, but you have to provide lnk file for each game,I think many people use this method in previous version"4.6",we're apologize for bad guide we have for EO,plz feel free to ask anything and I should be around from time to time
greeting

I'm glad that my method can be useful. I know that it's not a very practical way to launch PC games.^^
